According to Section 37(5) of the Immigration Act 1979, a foreigner who is granted temporary residence in Thailand and stays in Thailand for more than 90 days is obliged to report their residence status to the immigration officer every 90 days. If there is an immigration office in the area, the immigration officer of the regional office is required to report the status of their residence.

Penalty for Not Reporting on Time
Any foreigner who stays for more than 90 days without reporting or reporting their residence later than the specified time must report in person and pay a fine of 2,000 baht. If a foreigner leaves the Thailand without reporting for more than 90 days, they must pay a fine of 5,000 baht. Upon return, the 90-day count starts over in all cases. According to Section 76 of the Immigration Act, if a foreigner is arrested for not reporting a stay of more than 90 days, they will be fined 5,000 baht plus an additional fine of no more than 200 baht per day.

Notice
If the foreigner returns to Thailand after leaving the country, the 90 days will be counted again in all cases.
